Women’s Ministries

…it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.”

(Philippians 1:9-11)

Country Bible Church Women’s Ministries are thoughtfully planned and prayed over in an effort to help women develop deeper relationships… with God, with family, and with other ladies in the church body. Each year our women’s board prepares a theme and action plan for the upcoming seasons, creating opportunities to become the godly women the He desires us to be. Please read Rebecca’s letter and check the calendar for upcoming opportunities to get involved.

While enjoying the delicious culinary delights of other talented women and congregating together in a gospel-filled, God blessing time.  Our women’s board is pray-fully, created with diversity, to create a inviting atmosphere for all women to be able to focus on learning God’s word all season long.

  • Still Waters Dinner – Twice a year (October & March), we support the Still Waters Ministry by providing and serving dinner to the single and/or young parents and their children, in efforts to bless them and allow them to focus on their walk with the Lord.

  • Operation Christmas Child – In November Country Bible Church turns into an Operation Christmas Child drop off center.  As well we complete our goal of filling and packing shoe box size boxes full of gifts for children in 3rd world countries.

  • Holiday Prayer – Mid-November as we prepare to celebrate the Holiday Season, we prepare our hearts in remembrance of the true reason for the Holidays.  Joining together in thoughtful prayer time, focusing on Christ, those who have struggles, those who are unable to be home, those who have went to be with the Lord & spending time with friends and family.

  • Christmas Party – The first Friday in December, we join with other local churches to support one of our local Kaufman missions group, The Genesis Center.   It’s such a heart warming blessing to bring in catered food, play games, and bring joy and smiles to the women in the program.

  • Spring Retreat – The Spring Retreat is typically in March.  As the busyness of the Winter season slows down, and beauty of Spring ramps up, we feel it’s important to slow down, refresh, & focus on the gospel.   We plan a 2 day retreat at “The Barn” (Located in Kaufman).  The retreat starts on a Friday night and completes Saturday afternoon. There are plenty of beds to stay Friday night or go home and return on Saturday morning.  And of course, lots of food, fun, games & allotted downtime.  It’s a great place to spend time with the Lord, as well as re-connect with other beautiful women.

  • Bible Studies –  Fall Bible Study starts in September through December, and the spring starts first week in January completing in April / May.   We have increased the number of Bible Study times we have available, and encourage ladies to meet on their own in a small group atmosphere.  Established Bible Study times and places listed below.  Contact one of the board members to get more information.  We welcome you to join anytime!
